Christmas Celebration

24th Dec 2012- This year the Christmas Eve was celebrated with the sweet serenade by our church youths. As we hear the joyful Christmas Carol “Silent Night, Holy Night”, the feeling of hope and joy fills the aura in church. When all the lights in the church were switched off and three youths holding lit up candles, each walking from the three aisle of church with the serenade of ‘Silent Night, Holy Night’ indeed reminds each and every one present, the significance of the birth of Jesus Christ to the world; ‘A light has come to the world’. This year, the youths of the parish set aside some of their time despite the ongoing Christmas preparation at respective homes to practice the Christmas carols. They serenaded us with a number of Christmas carols while five young girls danced for the carols. It was indeed a great effort by the 30 youths from various language groups. Not only that, this year our church was brightened up by the creative decorations of balls and the light on Christmas tree as well as the Christmas crib which was done by our church youth. Kudos to them!   The mass started right after the Christmas carols at 8.30pm. When the mass had ended, we can see the joy of Christmas being shared as everyone hugged and kissed each other. May the same joy and happiness spread to all who read this. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
